Investing in Bulgarian vacation property is very popular among the foreigners. The number of property deals in the country for 2006 is 280 000 and the total sum of the transactions amounts to 10 billion EUR.

Tourism became one of the main Bulgarian economic sectors in the last years. That is why the government will lend a helping hand. Assen Gagauzov, Regional Development and Public Works minster, said that the ministry will support Bulgaria`s infrastructure transformation. Significant investment is planned to be made in resort infrastructure in the next three years.

At the same time contractors are looking for unoccupied niches on the tourism market.

More and more investors are interested in purchase and renovation of old spa centres. The trend began in 2006 and is expected to continue in 2007 and 2008. If this happens Bulgaria could turn into "second Baden Baden", according to Orlin Vladikov, head of National real property Association.

Golf Property tourism is expected to be another boom. Million of Euros are spent in development of golf courses near Sofia, at the seaside and in the most popular bulgarian ski resorts.
